Internship with Our Office
Thank you for your interest in interning with our office!
We are fortunate to work with university students from across the country as they complete internships with the office for course credit, including through the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law legislative development internship, the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General Debwewin Program summer internship, and Dalhousie University’s Schulich School of Law summer internship program.
A description of some of the opportunities available for interns can be found below.
Please reach out to your university’s career development office or course registrar to learn more about internship opportunities.
If we do not have an existing internship program in place with your university, please feel free to get in touch with us. We would be happy to explore potential opportunities for a for-credit internship.
If you are interested in applying for an internship with our office we ask that you send the following documents:
- A cover letter describing why you are interested in an internship
- Your CV
- Your transcripts
- A writing sample between 5 to 10 pages, if possible on a topic demonstrating interest in an area of the work we are doing in this office
Please send your application or any inquiries on internships to Andrew Osborne at andrew.osborne@sen.parl.gc.ca and kim.pate@sen.parl.gc.ca
